(Caledon, ON) – On Monday August 16, 2016 at 7:09 am officers from the Caledon Detachment of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a single motor vehicle rollover collision on Highway 10.
The southbound Cadillac CTS sedan crossed over into northbound lanes and then entered the east ditch rolling over several times. The injured male occupant was transported by Orange Air Ambulance to a Toronto area hospital and is expected to recover with non-life threatening injuries.
The road was closed for several hours near Old Baseline Road while the OPP’s Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) attended the scene to provide assistance with the investigation.
The OPP have charged the driver, Daryl LEARD, 39, from Orangeville with Theft of Motor Vehicle Over $5000, Drive while Under Suspension, and Careless Driving.
The accused is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on September 22, 2016.
