(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment has charged a 58-year-old male after checking a vehicle at a Lynedoch Road, Charlotteville, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Sunday, November 29, 2015 at approximately 3:58 p.m., police were conducting a R.I.D.E program (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) in the area of Lynedoch Road, when the vehicle was stopped and checked for driver sobriety.
As a result, police have charged 58-year-old Darwyn ROTHENBERG of Norfolk County, Ontario with impaired driving and driving over the legal limit.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
“There will be zero tolerance for motorists driving aggressively, impaired by drugs or alcohol, distracted drivers or those who fail to buckle up. Driving safety is everyone’s responsibility and it starts before the vehicle is put into drive” comments Constable Ed Sanchuk, Norfolk County OPP.
