(EGANVILLE, ON) – ON December ‎5, 2014 members of the Killaloe detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested 2 men in relation to armed robberies that occurred in Pembroke and Eganville.
Darrin CHALMERS, 24 of ‎Pembroke is charged in relation to an armed robbery that occurred at Conways Pharmacy, Eganville, on Dec 4, 2014. He is charged with:
Possession of schedule I, contrary to CDSA 4(1) X2
Possession for the purpose, contrary to CDSA 5(2),
Disguise with Intent, contrary to CC 351(2),
Robbery with Weapon, contrary to section CC 344(1)(b),
Theft Under contrary to CC 334(b),
Utter threats contrary to CC 264.1(1)(a),
Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to CC 733.1(1) X2
Kyle PEPLINSKI, 28 of Toronto, ON, was arrested on an arrest warrant in the First Instance and is charged in relation to an armed robbery that occurred at Mac’s Milk on ‎November 19, 2014 in Pembroke. He is charged with:
Disguise with Intent, contrary to section CC 351(2),
Robbery with a Firearm contrary to section CC 344(1)(a.1)
Firearm Use while attempting to commit offence contrary to section CC 85(1)(b)
Possession of Firearm contrary to Prohibition Order contrary to section CC 117.01(1)
He is also facing charges of:
Possession of schedule I, contrary to CDSA 4(1) X2
Possession of schedule III, contrary to CDSA 4(1)
‎‎Both were remanded into custody to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke on December 8, 2014.
