Darren GRAVELLE – Drunk Driving

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – Officers from the Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment responded to a traffic complaint from a motorist travelling on Highway 11 North south of Gravenhurst on Friday February 6, 2016 at 6:45 p.m. The offending motorist was being aggressive on the highway and making hand gestures at other motorists.

Police located the vehicle a short time later on Highway 11 North near Taylor road in Bracebridge and conducted a traffic stop. As a result of their investigation, police arrested and charged 24 year-old Darren GRAVELLE of Waterdown, ON with Impaired Operation CC 253(1)(a), Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in his blood CC 253(1)(b) and Obstruct Peace Officer CC 129(a). The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on March 8, 2016 to answer to his charges.

The accused received an immediate 90 day driver’s licence suspension and further had his vehicle towed and impounded.
