Danielle SOUTH – Hit And Run, Drunk Driving, No Insurance, etc

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received complaints from motorists travelling on Highway 11 North in Gravenhurst of a vehicle that had collided with another while driving and had taken off on Wednesday June 22, 2016 just before 5:00 p.m. A short time later, officers received information from concerned members of the public that the suspect vehicle was in a nearby parking lot on Talisman Drive in Gravenhurst.

Police attended and as a result of their investigation arrested and charged 35 year-old Danielle SOUTH of Enniskillen Twp with the following offenses:

Impaired Operation CC 253(1)(a)

Over 80 CC 253(1)(b)

Fail to Stop at the Scene of Accident CC 252

Dangerous Operation of a Vehicle CC 249(1)(a)

Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance CAIA 2(1)(a)

Driving a Motor Vehicle with Open Liquor LLA 32(1)

The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on July 19, 2016. Further the accused received an immediate 90 day driver’s licence suspension and had her vehicle towed and impounded.
