(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On December 24, 2016, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a motorist with drinking and driving offences as a result of a collision on Grey Rd. 9 in the Township of Southgate.
On December 24, 2016 at approximately 2:13 a.m., Grey County OPP located a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder vehicle in the ditch on Grey Rd. 9 between Ida St. and Grey Rd. 8. The lone driver, who was not injured, had been drinking alcohol and showed signs of impairment. The vehicle was running and appeared driveable. He was arrested for having care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and was transported to the Markdale OPP Detachment for breath tests, which he failed.
33-year old Daniel William WOLSKE, of Grand Valley, was charged with Care or Control While Impaired by Alcohol and Care or Control While Over 80 mgs. He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on January 5, 2017.
