Daniel BROEZE – Drunk Driving

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On December 10, 2015 at approximately 10:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks on Wellington Road 39 near Wellington Road 30 in Guelph-Eramosa Township.

Officers spoke with the male driver of a 2002 Jeep that entered into the spot check and immediately detected the odour of alcohol on his breath. An Approved Roadside Screening Device (ASD) test was conducted which resulted in a fail. The driver was transported to an OPP Operation Centre for further testing.

The driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.

26-year-old Daniel BROEZE has been charged with Over 80 Mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 12, 2016 to answer to the charge.
