(South Glengarry) – On May 18, 2015 at approximately 8:02 am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a disturbance on County Road 34 in South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an adult male had attempted to strike a family member with his vehicle. Further information also revealed that the male has been continually harassing the family member as well.
Ignace PETERS (50) of South Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Assault with a weapon
– Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
– Criminal Harassment x 2
He was held in custody (bail) and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall, Ontario.
DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION
(South Stormont) – On May 18, 2015 at approximately 8:34 pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Simcoe Street in South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult male and his spouse/girlfriend…etc resulted in the male causing damage to the household. Further information also revealed that the male had assaulted the female victim during a previous incident.
An adult male (27) from Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Mischief Under $5,000
– Fail To Comply With Recognizance
– Assault
– Sexual Assault
– Uttering Threats – Damage Property
The Male was held in custody (Bail) and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. The names of the accused persons are being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
