Dana NAHMABIN – Drunk Driving

(LAMBTON, ON) – On Wednesday December 23, 2015 at approximately 2:45 p.m., the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to a single vehicle, motor vehicle collision, on Confederation Line just east or Arkona Road, Warwick Township.

Lambton OPP responded to the scene along with Lambton Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and upon arrival observed a single motor vehicle in the north ditch approximately 200 meters east of Arkona Road. A lone, uninjured, female was located in the motor vehicle and was determined by OPP to be the driver of the motor vehicle. Upon speaking with the driver, OPP determined that the driver of the motor vehicle was impaired due to the consumption of alcoholic beverages. The driver was arrested and transported to the Lambton OPP – Petrolia Detachment for breath testing which resulted in readings more than twice the legal limit.

As a result, 34 year-old, Dana NAHMABIN of Sarnia, ON was charged with:

Driving While Ability Impaired

Driving with More Than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood

The accused will appear in the Sarnia Ontario Court of Justice on Monday January 18, 2016.

The OPP is reminding drivers that any amount of alcohol or other drugs can impair one’s ability to drive and impaired driving remains the leading cause of criminal death in Canada.
