(Fort Frances, ON) – Shortly after 6:00 pm on August 6, 2013, members of the Treaty Three Police Service came upon a motor vehicle collision on Hwy 11 in the area of Couchiching First Nation Territory. Members of the Rainy River District Detachment Ontario Provincial Police were called to investigate the incident.
As a result of an investigation, Damian CORBO (29) of La Vallee has been charged criminally with:
One count of Impaired Driving;
One count of Driving with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood; and
One count of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Criminal Code.
CORBO has also been charged with:
Fail to Remain at the scene of a collision;
Use plates not authorized for vehicle; and
Drive motor vehicle – no licence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act; and
Operate motor vehicle without insurance contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
CORBO will appear in Fort Frances Provincial Court on Monday October7, 2013 at 9:30 am to answer to these charges.
