(Tweed, ON) – On October 10, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. members of Central Hastings O.P.P received a traffic complaint regarding a possible impaired driver on Colborne Street in the Municipality of Tweed. Shortly thereafter, police received a second traffic complaint involving the same vehicle heading towards Quin-Mo-Lac Road. At 8:05 p.m. officers located the vehicle parked on St. Lawrence Street West in the Village of Madoc with the male driver sitting in the driver’s seat.
As a result of the investigation, 37 year old Dale KAHLER of Madoc, ON was arrested and charged with Care or Control While Impaired (Alcohol) and Fail or Refuse to Provide Sample. His vehicle was impounded and his driver’s licence was suspended.
He will appear in Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville on November 6, 2014.
