(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Winnipeg man following a vehicle stop over the weekend.
On Saturday, July 9, 2016 shortly after 1:00 am, members of the Kenora OPP observed a vehicle in the downtown area and following a vehicle stop, they determined the driver had been consuming alcohol and arrested him at the scene. He was transported to the detachment for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, 72 year old Dale HNATIUK of Winnipeg has been charged with Impaired Driving contrary to section 253(1)(a)of the Criminal Code (CC) and Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b)CC.
He is to appear in Kenora Court on August 4, 2016 to answer to the charges.
