(Grand Valley,ON) – On January 1,2014 at 11:25 am OPP officers intercepted the vehicle were conducting a RIDE program on water street in Town of Grand Valley. Upon speaking with the male driver, the officers detected a strong odour of alcohol on the his breath.
The driver registered a Fail on a Road-side screening device test Subsequently, the driver was arrested and transported to Detachment for further testing.
Once the investigation was concluded,Dale Cameron GIRARD, 35, of Orangeville was charged with Drive Motor vehicle over 80 mgs of alcohol contrary to Criminal Code of Canada.
The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date.
