On November 18, 2017, Waterloo Regional Police responded to a collision near Activa Avenue and Fischer Hallman Road in Kitchener. A grey Nissan Frontier pick-up, driven by a 56-year-old Kitchener man, was southbound on Fischer Hallman Road, approaching Activa Avenue. A 25-year-old male bicyclist was heading west in the crosswalk across Fischer-Hallman Road and was struck by the Nissan. The rider was thrown from his bicycle. The cyclist was transported to hospital. Police are continuing to investigate and charges are pending.
