(CITY OF TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) Members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to an address near Lakeshore Road in New Liskeard on January 29, 2014 at approximately 1:30 a.m. Upon arrival, the police located a deceased male.
Through investigation, the deceased identity has been confirmed to be Eloi LANGLOIS, 46, of Haileybury.
Cause of death is still unknown pending the results of the autopsy.
This investigation is now being treated as a murder. Curtis Johnas RUNDLE, 18, of New Liskeard has been charged with First Degree Murder.
The next court appearance for the accused is February 4, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury.
The OPP Criminal Investigation Branch under the direction of Detective Inspector Rob Hagerman and members of the Temiskaming Crime Unit are continuing the investigation.
