Criminals Pull Over Transport Truck Then Steal Phone

(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – At approximately 4:30 a.m. on April 21, 2017, Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a theft on Highway 401, in the City of London, Ontario.

A transport truck was travelling westbound on Highway 401 when a vehicle pulled in behind it on the highway, flashing its lights and motioning for the transport truck to pull over.

The 60-year-old male driver pulled the transport truck onto the north shoulder east of Wellington Road, and exited the cab to inspect the trailer, where he was confronted by two males, but not injured.

One of the males entered the cab of the truck before they both returned to the suspect vehicle, which is described as a smaller red car with the driver’s side headlight out, last seen travelling westbound on Highway 401.

Only the driver’s cell phone was stolen.
