CRASH WITH HORSE AND BUGGY SENDS 3 TO HOSPITAL
(KINLOSS TWP, ON) – On July 13, 2012 at 6:12 am, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of crash involving a horse and buggy on Bruce County Road 1, Kinloss Township. Officers arrived to find that a horse and buggy was travelling north bound along Bruce County Road 1, when it was struck by a Blue Pontiac Montana also travelling north bound on Bruce County Road 1.
Two youth riding in the rear of the buggy were transported to Wingham hospital. One youth has since been air lifted to London with life threatening injuries. The driver of the minivan was transported to Kincardine hospital for assessment of non life threatening injuries.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit is assisting the South Bruce OPP with this investigation. Bruce County Road 1 is closed between Karishea Avenue and Grey Ox Avenue for the safety of on scene personnel. Please respect the closure and avoid the incident area.
The investigation is in its early stages. Anyone with information is asked to call the South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
