(TOWSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) On Sunday July 25, 2010 at 9 p.m. Perth County OPP officers were called to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Hwy. 7 at Perth Line 20.
Investigation revealed that an east bound silver sedan on Perth Line 20 proceeded to make a left hand turn (north) onto Hwy. 7, at the stop sign controlled intersection. The sedan pulled out directly into the path of a south bound pickup truck on Hwy. 7. The pickup truck struck the drivers side of the sedan. The driver of the sedan a 37 year old male from Mississauga was transported by air ambulance to London Victoria Hospital where he is listed in fair condition. The driver of the pickup truck, a 48 year old Perth South man was transported to Stratford General Hospital with minor injuries.
Officers were forced to close one of the lanes of Highway 7 for a number of hours to allow for the safe removal of vehicles and proper investigation of the crash. Investigation is continuing.
