(CALEDON, ON) – On April 22nd, 2015 officers from the Caledon OPP Street Crime Unit (SCU) and the OPP Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) commenced an investigation on subjects known to be involved in the drug trafficking trade.
Shortly after 5 pm, a vehicle stop was conducted by the involved officers which resulted in the arrest of a male and female. Both were found to be in possession of drugs, believed to be Cocaine and crack Cocaine with a street value exceeding $12,000.00. Officers further located a quantity of cash inside the motor vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, Ryan Jeffory SUITOR, 27, from Caledon was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Schedule I Substance, Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
Amanda Cecilia EDWARDS, 30, from Toronto was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Schedule I Substance and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
They were held in custody overnight and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville later today.
