Counterfeit Currency

(COLLINGWOOD AND THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating incidents of counterfeit American money that has surfaced at two local businesses over the weekend.

In both separate cases, the bills were $100 denominations and both with the same serial number, one was used at a business at Blue Mountain Resort and one was used at a downtown Collingwood business.

In both cases the suspect is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 25-30 years old, with black rim glasses with dark hair with slight facial hair. Investigation is ongoing
