Council To Issue Loyalty Bribes And Bill North Huronians Millions – Substantial Tax Increase On Horizon For North Huron Unless You Start Participating In Our Democracy

North Huronians are in for a massive property tax increase as reeve neil vincent’s regime is attempting to issue record breaking “bonuses and raises” to buy the loyalty of 120(ish) town staff. Reeve vincent wants to spend $40,000 – $50,000 just to figure out how distribute these loyalty bribes. These bonuses and raises are expected to cost taxpayers millions in the coming months/years.

It is assumed that all town staff will then be expected to support and vote to keep the Wingham police and vincent’s regime in place. Vincent needs the Wingham police to stay as they will blindly follow any bylaw council passes, even if it is a clear conflict with the police oath. Details on the bribery scheme to be released/discussed at Monday’s council meeting where they will refer to it as a “ pay equity and compensation review’.

If you have been watching NH’s budget for the last 7-8 years you will have noticed every year town staff get raises without fail, and the percentage of money raised by taxation that goes into their pockets keeps ballooning. Town staff get approx 125% of money raised by taxes, and that is set to explode unless you contact council asap. NOTE: Every year our infrastructure goes unmaintained and no money is set aside for infrastructure reserves. A town is only as strong as its infrastructure, when it collapses the Community follows. Council needs to stop using North Huron as an ATM for themselves and friends of the regime, and uphold 224 of the Municipal Act as they are literally paid to do.

From the Agenda Package:

McDowall Associates to undertake a Pay Equity and Compensation review at a cost of $39,080 (excluding HST), plus travel and out of pocket expenses;

AND FURTHER THAT Council requests Gallagher McDowall Associates organize a project launch meeting with employees at a cost of approximately $3500 (excluding HST), plus travel and out of pocket expenses, to describe the approach and processes to be undertaken;

AND FURTHER THAT Council requests Gallagher McDowall Associates present their final report to Council at a cost of approximately $2100 (excluding HST), plus travel and out of pocket expenses;

AND FURTHER THAT Council hereby amends the approved 2017 budget by transferring the necessary funds from Reserves to fund the applicable costs.
