Council To Blow $10,000 Of Your Money On Wayfinding Signs To Help Navigate Downtown Wingham

At the last council meeting they decided to force North Huronians to pay $10,000 for Wingham wayfinding signs.

It is not known what these signs will pointing to, or who will use them. Virtually everyone now has a smartphone with gps and can get turn by turn directions to wherever they are going. Wingham’s “downtown” only consists of two blocks of businesses and if you stand in the right spot on Josephine street you can virtually seen them all without moving your feet.

There’s not much left in Wingham to point out anymore, we know the signs won’t be pointing out

lawn bowling, movie theatre, jewelry stores, bowling alley, Maitland restaurant, Good’s restaurant, outdoor pool, Middleton’s, bakery, Josephine St ball park, Canadian tire, car dealership, closed community trail in the winter, pool on summer weekends, Maitland river you can’t swim in, Howson dam that is falling down, Town Hall theatre that is missing fire suppression system etc. etc.
