Council Publicly Strips Dignity Of Junction Place Ratepayers For Petitioning/Asking Where The Money Goes

Over the years North Huron council has systematically taken steps to silence the Press and Public. Since the Public and traditional media simply bent over and accepted this, the abuse has continued to the point of absurdity and to a level of disrespect that should be criminalized if not already.

You might be thinking we are talking about the Public Gallery Newbie that was screamed at by neil vincent , you would be wrong. While what was done to that gentleman was rude, unjustified and completely unprofessional, it pales in comparison to the what was done the Residents of Junction Place later in the meeting.

The Residents of Junction Place wrote a letter to North Huron council asking where the money goes, about tax rates, and asked for it to be read at the meeting. This was accompanied by a signed petition from those Residents. Normally council “receives, reads and files” all correspondence, debates it and responds to the author. This time they did something new to send the most ignorant message they could to the ratepayers that dare attempt question them.

Blyth ward councillor bill knott “Received and read, I don’t see any point acknowledging them at this point.”

Council then UNANIMOUSLY voted that these ratepayers were not worth acknowledging.

Not one member of council stood up for the Rights and Dignity of the Ratepayers they are paid to Represent.

The worst non-violent thing you can do to a human is to completely ignore it, if you did it to your own child you would be imprisoned. Shunning, pretending someone is invisible, or screaming at people is abuse. This leads to isolation, depression, exasperation and then typically violence in a desperate attempt to be heard. There simply is nothing more disrespectful/hateful than shunning, and absolutely no excuse for council to so arrogantly dismiss the concerns of the People that pay their salary.
