(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment has charged a 31-year-old male after police were called to investigate an incident at a Queensway East, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Saturday, September 24, 2016 at approximately 12:28 a.m., police responded to the First Ontario Credit Union after being contacted by a concerned resident.
Through the course of investigation, it has been determined that a male became involved in a verbal altercation which turned into a physical confrontation with two other males as they left the bank machine. During the course of the incident, the suspect brandished an edged weapon and then proceeded to damage a tire on a vehicle that the other males entered.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 31-year-old Cory Daniel Alexander HANNA of Norfolk County, Ontario with robbery with a weapon, assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000 and fail to comply with probation order.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
