COPPER PIPING TAKEN IN BREAK AND ENTER – FLOODS BASEMENT

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is investigating a Break and Enter at a Talbot Street North, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

Between Thursday October 31, 2013 and Monday, November 11, 2013, unknowns attended a residence that was under construction and gained entry. Once inside, unknowns proceeded to remove approximately 150 feet of copper piping.

As a result of the copper piping being removed, the basement of the residence was subsequently flooded.

The theft and damage is estimated at approximately $2,000 dollars.

The Norfolk County OPP Detachment is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
