(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – Over the weekend Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes (CKL) detachment were alerted by the public, to two separate traffic complaints. Both vehicles were located by officers and the drivers charged as follows:
On July 18, 2015 shortly after 5:00 pm officers responded to Kawartha Lakes Road 36 for a traffic complaint. After an investigation Perry FISHER, 47 years of age, of Selwyn Township, was charged with Impaired Driving and Operating a motor vehicle with over 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on August 20, 2015.
On July 19, 2015 at approximately 2:00 am officers responded to Highway 35 south of Coboconk for a traffic complaint. The vehicle was located and an investigation began. Alan NEWBY, 58 years of age, of Arnprior, was charged with Operating a motor vehicle with over 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on August 20, 2015.
