Come Check Out An OPP Unmanned Aerial Vehicle In Clinton Tomorrow

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will have an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) at the International Drone Day in Clinton on Saturday, March 14, 2015.

Tomorrow is your chance if you are a local hobbyist to get up close and personal and see one of the OPP’s seven UAV’s. Also, on hand to answer questions about the OPP UAV will be a trained OPP UAV pilot.

You may be wondering, what is an UAV? The OPP’s unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are small commercially available, remotely piloted helicopter-like devices that are similar to those purchased and used by remote controlled aircraft enthusiasts around the world. OPP trained operators use UAVs to support investigations (traffic & crime scenes) with photographs and video.

A great way to learn more about OPP UAVs is to stop by the OPP static display at the International Drone Day exhibition located at the REACH Centre – 169 Beech Street in Clinton. The event is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
