(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Friday, April 11, 2014 at approximately 10:58 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an intoxicated male who had ordered a pizza from a local restaurant in Flesherton and left without paying for it. The suspect was observed getting into a vehicle which then proceeded southbound on Sydenham St., in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
An officer observed the suspect vehicle, a 2011 Dodge pick-up truck, on Spring St. in Flesherton, being operated without its rear tail lights on. The lone driver, who was found to have been drinking alcohol, was arrested for impaired driving and brought to the Chatsworth Detachment for breath tests, which he refused to take.
Drivers who fail or refuse to provide a breath sample face the same consequences if as though they were charged with impaired driving and may face the same penalties if convicted.
Colton LITTLE, age 25, of Eugenia, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands, is charged with impaired driving, fail or refuse to provide breath sample and theft under $5,000.
His vehicle was impounded for seven days and his driver’s licence suspended for 90 days.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, May 1, 2014.
