Collision – Two Tractor Trailers

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On the May 5, 2015 at approximately 5:50 am the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a two vehicle collision on Highway 69 in Wallbridge Township.

OPP, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Britt Fire Department attended the scene approximately one half of a kilometre north of Harris Lake Road. Police observed two tractor trailers had collided and that the debris field covered the highway.

Both tractor trailer drivers were injured and have been transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Highway 69 is closed to traffic in both directions as a result of the collision.

OPP continue to investigate the cause of the collision and expect the north bound lane of Highway 69 to be open shortly. OPP caution the public to expect delays on the Highway north of Pointe Au Baril until they have completed their investigation.
