(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a collision on Glenarm Road Saturday just before 5:00pm.
A vehicle westbound on Glenarm Road crossed the centre line and collided with an eastbound vehicle. Glenarm road was closed between Kirkfield Road and Sandrigham Road for several hours. OPP members trained in Technical Collision Investigation and Collision Reconstruction assisted in measuring and documenting the scene.
Joseph MIKLAS (age 67) of the City of Kawartha Lakes was driving one of the vehicles and was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Mohanaraj SHANMUGABALAN (age 38) of Brock Township was driving the other vehicle and was transported to a Toronto area hospital with critical injuries.
The investigation into the cause of this collision continues.
