Collision Sends Four To Hospital

(ZORRA TOWNSHIP, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to investigate a two vehicle collision on 37th Line in Zorra Township shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2016.

The collision occurred on 37th Line at the intersection of Road 84. A Volkswagen car failed to stop at the stop sign on Road 84 and struck a Dodge pickup truck which was southbound on the 37th Line.

The adult male driver and adult female passenger of the car were transported to area hospital with minor injuries. The adult female driver of the pickup truck was transported with minor injuries to area hospital. The adult male passenger of the pickup truck was also transported to area hospital with serious injuries.

The OPP Technical Traffic Investigation (TTCI) Team attended the scene to assist with the investigation. The Township of Zorra Fire Department (Embro), Oxford and Perth County EMS attended and assisted at the scene.

Road Closures:

37th Line (north of Embro) is closed between Road 88 and Road 78 (south of Embro).

Road 84 is closed between 35th Line and 41st Line.

Roads in the area will remain closed for several hours. The collision remains under investigation.
