(Prince Edward County, ON) On July 31, 2013 at 11:23am officers from the Ontario Provincial Police Prince Edward County detachment responded to a single motor vehicle collision on King St. and Paul St., in the Town of Picton. A motor vehicle had struck a hydro pole. Police were assisted by the Prince Edward County Fire department and Hydro One, as hydro lines were knocked down.
A 17-year old female from Belleville has been charged with Careless Driving contrary to Section 130 of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. There were no injuries. The road was closed for several hours as Hydro One crews repaired damages.
