(ESSEX COUNTY, ON) – The Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has completed the investigation into a collision on the 401 on August 14, 2013 involving a OPP officer from Essex County.
The investigation revealed that the officer was on route to a call for service on the eastbound lanes of the 401 near French Line in Lakeshore. During this time his fully marked police cruiser struck another eastbound vehicle traveling in the centre lane in front of the cruiser.
Though there was some damage to both vehicles, no occupants were injured.
As a result of the investigation, Provincial Constable Milje MATOVKSI has been issued a Provincial Offence Notice for Fail To Turn Out to the Left to Avoid Collision contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The officer is a 6 year member attached to the Essex County OPP detachment.
