On November 17, 2013 at 5:00 p.m., the Guelph Police attended to the parking lot of the Stone Road Mall for a collision. Investigation alleges that a Toyota sedan being operated by a 54-year-old Guelph male reversed into a second vehicle while a 56-year-old Guelph woman was entering into the rear seat of that vehicle. The rear bumper of the Toyota struck the door the woman was entering. The woman’s left leg was crushed as a result of the impact. Several witnesses alerted the driver of the Toyota and he quickly moved his vehicle forward freeing the woman’s leg.
The female was transported to the Guelph General Hospital for medical treatment. Both vehicles sustained minor damage as a result of the collision.
Witnesses are asked to contact Cst Matt Jotham, Guelph Police Traffic Unit, 519-824-1212, extension 7434.
