(CALEDON, ON) – On May 3rd, 2015 at 8:47 pm, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a serious motor vehicle collision which occurred on Innis Lake Road between Finnerty Side Road and Patterson Side Road.
The investigation has revealed that a male driver lost control of his van and collided with a tree causing significant damage to the vehicle and trapping the driver. Caledon Fire Service extricated the driver and he was transported to a local hospital. He was then later air-lifted to a trauma centre. The driver is listed in serious yet stable condition.
Innis Lake Road remained closed until 4:35 on this date.
The investigation is still on-going.
