(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to investigate a single motor vehicle crash that took place last night (05Sept) northeast of Blyth.
Shortly before 7:30 Huron County OPP officers, Huron County Paramedic Services and Blyth Fire Department members arrived at the crash scene located on Clyde Line between Cranbrook Road and St. Michael’s Road. Upon arrival emergency crews located a heavily damaged grey Chevrolet Impala that had collided with a tree in the northbound ditch.
Both of the injured vehicle occupants managed to free themselves from the wreck and were found waiting in a nearby ditch.
A 26-year-old female from Goderich was transported to hospital in London with serious but non-life threatening injuries. A 35-year-old male from Seaforth was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital. He was later released from hospital.
The cause of the crash, including who was driving the vehicle remains under investigation but driver impairment is believed to be a causal factor.
Police are seeking witnesses that may have any information about this crash or the events that led up to it.
