Collision Near Belmore Sends Two To Hospital

(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were on scene of a two-vehicle crash that has occurred south of Belmore.

Shortly before 3:00 p.m. (09May)Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Huron County Paramedic Services and Howick Fire Department personnel responded to the collision scene located at the intersection of Howick-Turnberry Road (County Road #7) and Belmore Line (County Road #12).

The initial investigation has determined a Dodge Caravan was travelling eastbound on Howick-Turnberry Road when it entered into the intersection and was struck on the passenger side by a Ford Escape that was travelling northbound on Belmore Line.

The adult male driver of the Dodge Caravan remains in hospital with serious injuries. A female passenger from the Ford Escape also remains in hospital with serious injuries.

Members from the West Region OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) Team will be attending the scene to assist with the collision investigation.

Please take an alternate route to bypass this intersection as it remains closed for the duration of collision investigation.
