(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment has charged a 24-year- old male after police investigated a motor vehicle collision at a Highway 59, Long Point, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at approximately 10:02 p.m., OPP, Norfolk County Fire Services and Paramedics were called to a single motor vehicle collision at Highway 59 and Hastings Drive.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a pick-up truck was travelling on Highway 59 near Hastings Drive when the driver failed to negotiate for a turn in the roadway. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled, injuring two passengers.
A 20 year-old male and 24-year old male, both of Norfolk County, Ontario received serious non-life threatening injuries and were transported to a local area hospital for treatment. The driver of the motor vehicle and third passenger, a 24-year-old male of Norfolk County, Ontairo did not sustain any injuries.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 24-year-old Jordan VANTORRE of Norwich Township, Ontario with Carless Driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
