Collision Involving School Bus – MCGRATH Charged

(NORTH BAY, ON) – On October 7, 2016, members of the North Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17, Commanda Township involving a passenger vehicle and a school bus.

At approximately 7:15 a.m. a school bus was travelling westbound when an eastbound vehicle turned left, into the path of the school bus causing a collision. The school bus was carrying one passenger. There were no injuries as a result of this collision.

Investigation resulted in the driver of the passenger vehicle, Stephen MCGRATH, 65, of New Zealand has been charged with Turn-Not in Safety – section 142(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.
