(BLANDFORD BLENHEIM TOWNSHIP, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision that occurred shortly before 9:00 a.m. today at the intersection of Oxford Road #22 and Township Road #9 in Blandford Blenheim.
The collision involved a township snow plow and an Elgie Bus Lines school bus carrying 8 students travelling to Blenheim District Public School.
There were no injuries as a result of the collision, with minimal damage to the vehicle.
After an approximate one and a half hour delay the school bus transported the students to school.
As a result of the collision the female bus driver, 48 year old Susan VANEGDOM of Embro was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
Left turn – fail to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid collision
