(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a motor vehicle collision at a Highway 59, Windham, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Friday, July 8, 2016 at approximately 6:46 a.m., OPP and Norfolk County Paramedics responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a farming tractor.
Through the course of investigation, it has been determined that tractor was being operated by a 31-year-old male of Norfolk County, Ontario and was travelling south bound on Highway 59 when it was struck from behind by a silver coloured Honda motor vehicle being operated by a 28-year-old male of Norfolk County, Ontario.
The driver of the tractor was transported by Paramedics to a local area hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 28-year-old Hiren BARAIYA of Norfolk County, Ontario with careless driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
He was subsequently issues a Provincial Offences Notice.
