Collision Closes Ron McNeil Line

(ELGIN COUNTY, ON) – On April 8th, 2017 around 7:30a.m. the Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P) responded to a serious collision between two vehicles at Burwell Rd and Ron McNeil Line in Central Elgin.

Central Elgin Fire and St. Thomas Elgin Ambulance also attended the scene to assist with the crash victims.

One male was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries in one vehicle. Two others were taken to hospital with minor injuries in the other vehicle.

The OPP’s Technical Traffic Collision investigators are on scene to help determine the cause of the collision.

At this time Ron McNeil Line is closed at Burwell Rd and the motoring public are asked to find alternative routes around.

At this point in the investigation it was revealed that a vehicle leaving Burwell Rd was struck by another on Ron McNeil Line.
