(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) – Shortly before 1:30 a.m., Thursday December 08, 2016, Members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a two vehicle collision on Perth Line 86 west of Dorking.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a pickup truck travelling westbound on Perth Line 86 entered onto the east bound lane where it collided with an eastbound van. Both drivers were transported to a local hospital where they were treated prior to being transported by ambulance to a London hospital. Both drivers sustained major injuries.
Perth Line 86 has been closed for clean-up and investigative purposes between Perth Road 121 to the west and Road 116 to the east. Barricades have been erected and motorists are urged to find alternate routes around the closure.
OPP West Region Technical Traffic Investigators are currently at the scene to assist with the investigation.
Perth Line 86 is expected to remain closed until approximately 9 a.m.
