(MARKSTAY WARREN, ON) – On October 5, 2015, at approximately 6:25 p.m., Warren and Noelville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a collision on Highway 17, about 1 kilometre west of Pioneer Road in Markstay Warren.
It was learned that an eastbound car crossed the centre line striking a westbound transport.
The driver of the car sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by Sudbury Emergency Medical Services (EMS), where he succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as Jon Usitalo, 19 years of age of Sudbury.
Highway 17 was closed from 6:25 pm until 3:25 am and traffic was rerouted. OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) will be investigating the collision.
