(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – On Thursday, August 15, 2013 at approximately 12:25 p.m., a Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol observed a 2004 Volvo XC70 travelling at a fast rate of speed north bound on Hwy. 10 South of Berkeley in the Township of Chatsworth. The cruiser’s radar was activated and the oncoming vehicle registered a speed of 141 km/hr. The posted speed limit was 80 km/hr.
Colin Matthew DOBELL, 53, of King City, Ontario was issued a Summons for racing a motor vehicle under the Highway Traffic Act.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on September 23, 2013.
The vehicle was impounded and his driver’s licence suspended for seven days.
