(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A vehicle stop recently conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in a local male facing a Criminal Code related offence.
On April 28, 2014 an OPP officer stopped a vehicle on Highway 35 near Everett Road. While speaking with the driver the officer determined that he had been consuming alcohol and subsequently requested that the driver provide a sample of his breath. The request was refused.
As a result of the investigation Cody LITTLE, 20 years of age, of Bexley Township was charged with failing to provide a breath sample, contrary to the Criminal Code. The licence of the accused was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on May 29, 2014.
