(HALIBURTON, ON) – On October 24, 2015 shortly after 3:00 a.m., officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Invergordon Avenue in Minden Hills Township.
Through police investigation it was determined that the male driver had been drinking alcohol. He was arrested, and transported to the Haliburton Highlands OPP detachment for breath testing.
23-year-old Cody KIMBLE, of Highlands East Township, has been charged with the following:
· Operate a Motor Vehicle – Over 80 mgs. of alcohol in blood contrary to sec 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CC)
· Operate a Motor Vehicle – Impaired contrary to sec 253(1)(a) of the CC
· Drive Motor Vehicle with open container of Liquor- contrary to sec 32(1) of the Liquor License Act (LLA)
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden, Ontario on December 2, 2015.
