Cody JOHNSON – Possession of Property Obtained By Crime

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) On February 12, 2014 just before 7:30am owners of a business on Lindgren Road West Huntsville, arrived at work to find that their lock had been cut on the gate of their compound and their Bobcat stolen. The owner followed the tracks to a location on Hemmings Road and located his Bobcat on a trailer attached to a pickup truck. Both the driver and a passenger were still in the vehicle, and when approached by the owner, the two took off on foot.

Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment members were notified and attended the area, located and arrested one of the suspects on Highway #11 in the southbound lane near Lindgren Road. Central Region Canine along Emergency Response Team (ERT) assisted in hopes to locate the second suspect. This second male party is still outstanding.

Cody JOHNSON (42yrs) of St Catharines, Ontario has been since charged with Possession of Property Obtained by crime x2 under the Criminal Code of Canada. He has been held for a bail hearing and will appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on February 13, 2014 to answer to his charges.

It was learned that the trailer had also been taken from another business on Lindgren Road Huntsville. Investigation is continuing in locating the second male involved in this theft.
