(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred at an unoccupied residence located on High Street in Clinton. Police were notified of the break, enter and theft on November 29, 2013 after a caretaker noticed the garage door to the residence was wide open. A quick check on the residence revealed someone had entered into the residence through the garage. Once inside, the suspect(s) rummaged through the residence and stole several items including a Morgan Monroe five string banjo, an Alabama Sunburst Resonator guitar, a Fender Acoustasonic 30 W amplifier, a Shure studio microphone, an antique camera, a black Sony PlayStation 2 video game system and several other household items.
The suspect(s) also stole a 2008 black, four door, Honda Civic that was parked in the garage. The vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys inside.
Police believe the break, enter and theft occurred sometime between November 25, 2013 and November 28, 2013.
The value for the stolen Honda Civic and musical equipment is estimated at nearly $15,000.
