(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora OPP have charged a Kenora woman following an incident on Tuesday November 11, 2014. Police were called at around 2:00 am to a report of an intoxicated female causing a problem in a downtown apartment block. Police attended and located the woman identified at the person causing problems. While arresting the woman, she became assaultive with the police. Police successfully arrested the woman and transported her to the detachment.
As a result of this investigation 38 year old Claudia LANDS has been charged with Assault a Police officer (2 counts) contrary to section 270(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC) and Resist a Peace Officer sec 129(a) CC. She is to appear in Kenora Court on December 18, 2014 to answer to the charge.
